I had the privilege of getting to document the wedding of one of my dear, dear friends this past Easter. Steph and Matt met, connected, and fell in love in a whirlwind romance. They both knew what they were looking for, what they were praying and hoping for. They were looking for their forever person—their spouse, their best friend, their lobster ;) When they decided to get married neither saw a reason to wait a long time to tie the knot. They booked the venue, found the dress, and had all the details lined up within weeks. When the day arrived it felt like a dream. I watched my friend smile from ear to ear while she got ready for the ceremony, heard her laugh from her heart as family and friends helped her with her gown and shoes, saw her glow as she walked down the aisle arm in arm with her father to meet her groom, sobbed to myself as her tears fell while she read her vows, and cheered with everyone as they were pronounced husband and wife. Somewhere in the middle of the day I couldn’t hold in the happy tears as I saw all that she had prayed and waited for come to fruition. This was a love worth waiting for. Steph and Matt, I look forward to seeing your marriage blossom and grow and change and enrich and encourage and bond you both closer than ever. I’m so thankful to have been invited to help capture the memories of an unforgettable day and the beginning of an extraordinary lifetime.
